Lisa + Denis {Married}

The Oaks in St. Michaels provided a stunning setting for the wedding of Lisa and Denis. It was no surprise that Lisa, the associate publisher for The Perfect Wedding Guide had her very own perfect wedding. Lisa’s best friend Stephanie Bradshaw, or as she liked to call her “Chica,” styled the wedding with simplicity and elegance. As a teenage daughter myself, I loved seeing Denis’s daughter, Savannah, fill the roll of his “best man” for her dad. This one picture on the bikes was not only a wonderful shot, but also a blast to capture.

A Quick Hello & Holiday Schedule

I can't believe how quickly the year has gone by already! Did someone mention that it's Thankgiving tomorrow?! Wowsers! The studio has seen tremendous growth and we are always striving to dream up new and exciting sets and promotions. To allow for me to keep my creative and business edge (and still have the semblance of a family life), I've brought on more staff here at the studio. Many of you have already gotten a chance to speak with Sancha, our Client Service Specialist, who will be doing the majority of client correspondence on my behalf. Also, Adriane, the Queen of Personality, is our Art Consultant - helping you with your portrait selection and purchase during your Order Appointment. The ever-faithful Angela is still here but, with Rhais (the studio baby) getting bigger, she's transitioned into more of a behind-the-scenes Production Manager, handling the pre- and post- editing processes. We'll also get to see more of Intern Annie helping out during sessions now that her soccer season is officially over. She's my wing-woman in the camera room!

So, last month, I attempted to take a "Staycation" to unwind a bit and it was a serious failure. I worked (albeit behind the scenes) 6 of the 7 days! =( Well, I'm happy to say that my hard work has paid off and my husband and I will be taking a real, much-needed vacation sooner than we thought. (Yay!) Below you'll find how our scheduling is working out for the next couple of months.

Please note that during the dates where there are No Sessions, the studio will still be running without Vanessa. Orders will still be processed and sessions may still be scheduled for other dates. Do note that the studio may be running on modified hours - perhaps 3 out of the 5 business days...

September Special {Class of 2010}

Kelly {Class of 2010}

Kelly is our first Marriotts Ridge High School Class of 2010 senior model. I love when we photograph dancers - they're so organized with their wardrobe and quick at changing outfits. Because of this - and with the help of her mom, Cheryl - we got through something like 8 looks with her Model Student package! Wowsers! Go, Kelly!

Ellie's Family

A little less than a year ago, Ellie and Drew had some photos done with our studio. Well, their family is about to double as Ellie is marrying Steve and getting a step-son to boot! At their celebration, they want to display a portrait of their combined family so we all braved the near 100 degree temperatures for a quick session on site of the venue.

Marissa {Class of 2010}

Based on what I hear from other Centennial Yearbook Staff, Marissa has quite the eye when it comes to photography. So when her mom suggested incorporating photography equipment into her session, I was excited for the opportunity! I was also excited that we were able to photograph Marissa with her horse! Talk about bringing the personality through a session!

Patrick - Outside {Class of 2010}

I'm loving Patrick's new haircut! Back in February when we did his studio senior portraits, his hair was longer. Both look great on him but I'm a sucker for changing hair styles! As a bonus, we got to include his cute doggy!

Annie - Outside {Class of 2010}

Annie-Roo! That's what Angela affectionately calls the studio's high school intern, Annie. You may remember some of the images from Annie's studio session back in February. Well this time, her freckles have seen the sun and are out in full force! We're not done yet, either! We're taking advantage of Annie's allegiance to the studio to try some new things...
